Had first softball practice of the season yesterday. I’m looking forward to the season starting. It was sooooo nice outside which made an almost three hour long practice bearable. I’m surprised at being only a little sore today in my shoulders. All other limbs and muscles check out ok. The brain is a bit tired and numb but still functioning.
So it’s official, GM is killing off Pontiac. So will my car be worth even less now? Thanks GM, can I bend over any farther for you? From an outsiders POV it does not seem to make sense since it is their performance division and outsells Buick. I would think they would want to keep Pontiac as a niche division since Chevy Impalas and Malibu’s don’t exactly scream sporty. But lets make sure Gramps has his Buick Century to drive too slow in front of me. All those years of bad decisions and bad contracts have finally come to this.
I am once again breathing normally. The meds are working well. My coworkers noticed right away this morning that I sounded like a human and not Snuffeluffagus.
Work still sucks…. except for listening to the drama play out when a certain employee talks to her on again/off again boyfriend on the phone. Seriously it’s better than any TV show when she somehow forgets her surroundings, and goes off on a public tangent that goes from anger to cute baby talk. I want to pick up the line and yell “run” to this guy.
Big Bang and HIMYM are new eps tonight, this pleases me.
I’m on Steroids. I know what you’re thinking “don’t do it Brent, you are way buff already they won’t help you.” But not to worry, it’s a script from the doc. It’s a steroidal nasal spray for my sinuses. Two squirts a day and a follow up appt in two weeks and fingers crossed it does the trick. I’m looking forward to being able to breathe again.
…If I had to breathe through my nose right now. I just got home, leaving work because my sinuses have completely closed up. I was actually pretty ok this morning, slept well last night, then all of the sudden at work this morning my nasal passages just closed up. I sound like a cartoon character trying to talk to people which is why I decided to come home.
I have been battling sickness for a while now, hence the lack of posting. But overall I feel good, my sinuses have just been crazy, getting worse little by little over time. I made a Doctors appointment but the earliest I can be seen is Thursday so I have another day of this crap. UGH, soooo frustrating.
It been a sad few days here in Pittsburgh. Three police officers, responding to a domestic disturbance call between a mother and son, one which started out to be about a dog urinating on the floor, were gunned down by a conspiracy theory loser worried about his “rights.” So this waste of human space donned his body armor vest and his his AK-47, laid in wait for the police to arrive, and mowed down three men and wounded another as he set in motion a standoff in which he sprayed a quiet neighborhood street with bullets. A standoff that that ended with his capture with only a wound to his leg.
Three family men are dead, a police force and city is mourning and yet there are still blow hards, radio talk show hosts, and general gun nuts that while they spew their unique brand of hatred and evil, still maintain people have a “right” to own assault weapons. Really, people need and have a right to machine guns? They have the need or right to a closet full of guns? Really?
Seriously, where is this country headed?
